Just a quick afternoon update for you guys here.
On Tuesday Kei Kamara's call up to the Sierra Leone national team was confirmed by slfasl.com. Sporting KC had previously said it was expected for Kei to join Sierra Leone for their 2013 African Cup of Nation's Qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe. Kei will join a somewhat shambled national side that recently made former Swedish U21 trainer Lars Matssson their head coach.
The second big news that came today was that former New York Red Bulls homegrown player Sacir Hot will join Sporting KC in Orlando for preseason. The 20 year old was just the latest casualty in the long line of young players that Hans Backe and the New York Red Bulls recently let go. Hot is a 6'1 center back and will most likely be competing against Sporting KC's supplemental draft pick Stefan Antonijevic for a contract as essentially Sporting KC's 5th choice central defender.
