Sporting KC's reserve team, The Swope Park Rangers, were defeated 2-0 today by the Houston Dynamo reserves.
Houston scored in the 27th minute when Alex Dixon was able to dribble through the middle of the Sporting KC defense and slot his shot past Sporting KC goalkeeper Eric Kronberg.
Houston was able to find the back of the net again in the 42nd minute from a Colin Clark strike, who was able to score from Will Bruin's cross.
Charles Gooch from The Full 90 reported that Sporting Kansas City's reserves dominated much of possession, but were unable to notch a goal.
A couple of tweets from Gooch during the match;
"Unoffiical possesion; SKC 80%, Houston 20%, but has amounted to nothing yet."
"KC were dominant, Lorenz and Olum were good. Jeferson should've dominated, but didn't."
With the loss, the Swope Park Rangers drop to 3-4-2 in the Central/Mountain Division in the Reserve League, and are still sitting on 11 total points with one match remaining.
