Would Detroit or Las Vegas Make Better Locations Than New York for Potential 20th MLS Team?

I came across an interesting article in regards to Detroit and how Steve Apostolopoulos, the president of sports at the Silverdome, wants to bring an MLS team to the Motor City.

Apostolopoulos, after seeing the Vancouver Whitecaps BC Place on October 2nd, believes that fans in Detroit would support a soccer team.

He had this to say after visiting the Whitecaps stadium;

"BC Place is like a mini-Silverdome. After seeing that, I have no doubt that we can pull this off."

MLS commisoner Don Garber has appeared insistent at times that adding a second team in New York would make the most sense for Major League soccer, and Garber has more recently went on record as to say that which ever city were to receive the 20th MLS team would have to pay a hefty ransom.

"We have put a $100 million price tag on a New York team. We haven't sold it to anybody yet... but I don't believe the fact that we haven't closed a deal has anything to do with price."

Las Vegas has been another city named as a possible location for a 20th MLS club.

In regards to New York,I have to admit, I'm not a fan of any one city having two teams in the same league. And as Grant Wahl from Sports Illustrated pointed out via twitter;

Legit questions on why MLS wants a 2nd NYC team when the 1st doesn't draw well.

My thoughts exactly. What do you think? Where should the 20th MLS club call home?
