MLSsoccer.com Wonders If CJ Sapong Will Make a Triumphant Homecoming to DC

In today's MLSsoccer.com's latest edition of their Starting XI installment, they pose a number of questions regarding the last day of the regular season in MLS.

One of those questions they ask has to do with none other than Viriginia native, and Sporting Kansas City rookie, CJ Sapong

Will C.J. Sapong make a triumphant homecoming to DC- and help keep Sporting tops in the East?

Sporting KC rookie Sapong grew up 40 miles southwest of RFK Stadium and even spent some time in a D.C. United uniform as a guest player for one of the club's youth academy teams (though not quite enough time to qualify as a Home Grown). On Saturday, he returns as the odds-on frontrunner for Rookie of the Year, and a key cog in Sporting's efforts to secure a top playoff seed and make a run at MLS Cup. United's beleaguered back line will not relish defending the big striker.

I'm almost certain that Teal Bunbury will be starting up top for Sporting Kansas City tonight, but there's also no doubt that Sapong will factor in to the match at some point in time.

Here's to hoping CJ can make another impact against DC like he did against New York last week when he scored less then a minute after substituting into the match.
