According to the official MLS Injury Report, Sporting Kansas City midfielder Roger Espinoza is listed as questionable for tonight's game against the Columbus Crew.
Apparently, Roger suffered a quad strain to his left leg. There's been no official word that I've been able to find, but I'd have to imagine the injury probably occurred during training yesterday.
How will this affect the Sporting Kansas City line up for tonight's match?
I'd imagine if Roger is unable to go, Jeferson would be the most likely candidate to be inserted into the starting line up in his place, teaming up with Graham Zusi, and Julio Cesar to round out the Sporting midfield.
The potential loss of Espinoza would certainly be a blow for Sporting, as Roger has had a good season for Kansas City, and Sporting manager Peter Vermes will be hard pressed to find another option that will match the intensity, and work rate Espinoza brings to the table.
Personally, I'm crossing my fingers that Davy Arnaud is fit and able to play tonight.
