Sporting Kansas City have just selected center back Cyprian Hedrick with the 30th overall selection in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.
Hedrick is a 6' 180 pound center back/midfielder that will hopefully give Sporting Kansas City some cover in the middle of their defense should either Aurelien Collin or Matt Besler go down with injuries in 2012.
Cyprian was named the Big South's defensive player of the year in 2011, and was also named to the All-Big South squad.
More recently, Hedrick was named a 2011 NSCAA Men's Collegiate Scholar All-American with a 3.40 GPA.
