Today the MLS released the 2012 reserve league schedule. Sporting Kansas City will once again be in the central reserve conference with Chicago Fire, Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, and Real Salt Lake. I see about 4 potential rivals on that list for Sporting KC.
Reserve league games are generally a time when Peter Vermes and the rest of his staff will give an opportunity to guys that wouldn't necessarily get in on the action during Match Days. Just some of the guys that I suspect will play a big role in the reserve league games this year are: Kronberg, Saad, Peterson, Joseph, Ellis, and Olum. In past seasons Sporting KC has also used this time to give trialists and academy players an opportunity to show what they've got.
Looking at the schedule itself Sporting KC will play 10 games, 5 away, 5 home, and 4 of those home games will be played at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, the other one will be played at Swope Park training facility. Sporting KC will face each team once at home and once away.
