Roger Espinoza has always had high hopes for not just Sporting Kansas City, but also his motherland country of Honduras. In a recent interview with mlsssoccer.com Roger stated that since Honduras had been at the international stage before they will more than likely qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games that is coming up this summer.

But this year's 2012 Olympic qualifying tournament will be tough for Honduras. They will probably be competing for second place in group B behind Mexico - who's U23 squad looks very impressive on paper this year. Should they progress out of the group stage however, a place in the semifinals will be set, most likely against either America or Canada.

And of course if they win at the semifinals stage they will head to the 2012 London Olympics. At the olympics each country in the tournament will be allowed 3 players that are born after January 1st, 1989 to be on the squad and compete in matches - something that Espinoza is looking to be a part of.
