CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Round One Review

Round one of Olypmic Qualifying really separated the men from the boys. In all, 18 goals were scored in just 4 games. The countries on North America's mainland fared the best while Caribbean nations had a terrible opening round. At the end of the round Marco Fabian of Mexico and Joe Corona of the US are the top goal scorers in the tournament with 3 goals each and both of those countries had huge wins that will go a long way to helping them progress to the semifinals.

On the back end of the defeats were former Sporting Kansas City player Daneil Cyrus' Trinidad and Tobago and fellow Carribean nation Cuba. Only one goal was scored between the two and both had poor showings. Roger Espinoza's Honduras also won with a hefty 3-1 scoreline over Panama while America's neighbors to the North tied El Salvador 0-0.
