A coin flip went the way of Sporting Kansas City last Friday as it gave Sporting the chance to host the final of the US Open Cup if they were to win against Philadelphia on Wednesday.
This decision had many fans crying foul, as they claimed it jilted the three-time defending champions Seattle Sounders FC from getting the final, even though they had an equal bid to Sporting Kansas City.
The only way Seattle would be able to defend their title at home is if they won, and Philadelphia beat Sporting KC.
So that is this week's Debate of the Week: Should the U.S Open Cup hosting system be changed so that it's not determined by a bid? And if so, now should it be replaced?
