Peterson Joseph (aka The Haitian Xavi) has been called up to three of Haiti's Caribbean Cup qualification games according to the official Haiti national football team Facebook page. Joseph and the rest of the Haiti nationals will face off against Saint-Martin on 9/7, Bermuda on 9/9, and Puerto Rico on 9/11, meaning the attacking midfielder will not miss any of Sporting KC's games seeing as the matches fall on FIFA International Match Calendar game days even though the tournament has not been fully sanctioned by FIFA itself.
The Carribean Cup will determine the four teams that represent the Caribbean region of North America in the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup. However it is just the early stages in the qualification process and with 25 teams entering the qualification rounds Haiti - a country who is still recovering from the terrible earthquakes that ravaged the island nation just a few years ago - may find progressing through the tournament tough.
