Just a couple of weeks after joining NASL side the Carolina RailHawks on loan, midfielder/center back Konrad Warzycha is rejoining Sporting Kansas City, as the club has recalled the 23 year old.

A rather strange development, given the fact the the loan was intended to last the rest of the NASL season, and was seen as a good way for Warzycha to see more game time than he was with Sporting KC.

The RailHawks, who recently clinched a spot in the NASL playoffs, were playing Warzycha at right back during his time with Carolina, which may not have sat well with Sporting Kansas City head coach, Peter Vermes.

Sporting KC deem Warzycha more of a center back than anything else at the moment, so perhaps the club feels that his time with Carolina was not going to be as productive as they initially imagined when the loan was first announced on August 28th.

In other Sporting Kansas City related news regarding the RailHawks, former Sporting KC midfielder Luke Sassano has joined the NASL club on loan via Major League Soccer.

Sassano, who joined Sporting Kansas City via trade from the New York Red Bulls in January of 2011, was waived by Kansas City on June 29th of this year.

Sassano scored one goal during his time with Sporting KC in a 4-1 win over FC Dallas on June 12th of last year.
