Sporting Kansas City have only been champions for one day but already the silly season has begun. Rumors are flying around like crazy and speculation is running rampant.

The first shot has been fired by Tom Dart, a writer for the Telegraph, who closed his latest article saying that Dom Dwyer is set to go on loan to England this winter.

Here is the paragraph from the article.

But it may already be time to return home. Dwyer said that he is set to move to an unnamed Sky Bet Championship club on loan in January with the possibility of a permanent transfer.

Here's a link to the full article for context.

The Telegraph is typically a reliable source and it makes sense for Dwyer to be a point of interest for these teams. However, nothing has been confirmed thus far from Sporting Kansas City and this article is the only one with a quote from Dwyer himself.

Still, if the article is quoting Dwyer's comments then it seems for certain that he will go in January. Hopefully he either comes back before the MLS starts in 2014 or that the rumors of Claudio Bieler and Peter Vermes being at odds with each other are not true.
