For three months Sporting Kansas City was without one of its starting wingers and arguably one of the most popular players on the team. Today, however, the Norwich City official Twitter account announced that the loan had ended and that Kei Kamara would be returning to Sporting KC.
@NorwichCityFC: City can confirm @KeiKamara's loan has now ended and will return to @SportingKC with immediate effect. #ncfc
That tweet may suggest that Kamara could be back in the 18 by Wednesday at the earliest, when Sporting Kansas City hosts Seattle Sounders FC.
Kamara played in 11 total matches for Norwich City, starting in seven and being used as a sub in four. He scored one goal, a fierce header against Everton that proved to be the match winner, and an assist in a 1-1 draw with Sunderland.
Kamara's last match with Norwich was today against Aston Villa. He came on in the 71st minute in a 2-1 loss for the Canaries.
Kamara will most likely be eligible to play Wednesday at the earliest. However it may be safer to assume that his first match back in a Sporting KC kit will be next Sunday in Houston.
It is most likely that Kamara will take over Zusi's spot on the wing while the drop Zusi back to the midfield, however some have been calling for Zusi to stay up and for Kamara to take Sapong's spot. Either way, Kamara will most likely retain his old spot on the wing when he is able to play.
