The Missouri Comets did not play their best game Saturday night but was still able to easily handle Pennsylvania. Six different Comets scored to secure the 13-5 victory over the Roar. With the win, the Comets evened their record on this road trip at 1-1.

"A win is a win and we are obviously happy to win the game," Comets coach Vlatko Andonovski spoke after the match. "But one of our biggest problems in the last few games has been we created lots of opportunities but just can't put them away. Definitely something we are going to focus on the next few days because we have a big weekend ahead of us and we have to be ready for it."

The Comets were cruising with a 9-0 in the third quarter when a lazy back pass to Comets keeper Danny Waltman was pounced on by the  Roar's Kingsley Onwuka who ended up scoring off of the mistake. Pennsylvania added another  in the fourth and was looking like they might make a game of it when Brian Harris scored on the sixth attacker to extend the advantage again. After Sosa scored with a little under a minute left both teams were content to just let it end.

"The team as a whole was a little too comfortable playing the ball out of the back," Andonovski continued. "That cost us the game last night and a goal tonight. That is something I hope we fix not just for this weekend but for when the games really matter at the end of the season."

The Comets will have to be at their best next weekend when they have a home and home with Milwaukee. The Wave will visit the Comets on Friday and then they play the next night in Milwaukee.

One boost for the Comets will be getting Leo Gibson back. Gibson had to sit out two games after receiving a red card in the Comets win over the Lancers.  Despite missing those two matches, Gibson is still tied for second in scoring.
