We had a scare this week when CNN's John Sinnott tweeted that Uri Rosell was heading to Sporting Lisbon... but Peter Vermes dismisses the rumors: "We're not selling anybody right now".

Matt Besler was brutally honest about Wednesday's loss, "We played like crap. I won't dwell on it with a quick turnaround and a game on Sunday. So in stead just enjoy the lone bright spot of the game.. Dom's howler.

Unfortunately, its only going to get more difficult for SKC the next month. Besler...gone. Opara.. out for season. Erik Palmer-Brown.. only 17 years old and dealing with sesamoiditis. This all begs the question... Who Starts at Center Back Sunday?

If you haven't watch it yet "The Benny Feilhaber Show is absolutely hilarious. His success has gotten the attention from other teams. Sporting's opponent on Sunday, The Chicago Fire, have been scoring goals behind the new sensation Quincy Amarikwa. He started his own show called "Quincy Time". It is worth the watch.. I wanted to dislike him, but I was cracking up watching him try to nutmeg people.

The early stages of the US Open Cup have begun. Sporting will face the winner of the Minnesota United FC (NASL) vs Des Moines Menace (USASA).

The Americans are in the tough Group G with Germany, Portugal, and Ghana. If they want to advance, they will have to answer the question, "How do we stop Cristiano Ronaldo?" To learn more about the competition, rosters and everything else you need to know about the World Cup is RIGHT HERE.
