FC Kansas City (4-4-3) play host to the Western New York Flash (3-4-2) tonight at 7 PM. The Blues have been off since winning 2-0 in Boston on May 25th. The previous meeting with the Flash was missing the national team players for both squads and FC Kansas City was so shorthanded they ended up using the reserve players as their only healthy field subs.

The Blues finally got some rest after a brutal nine game streak where they played every 3-4 days and visited both coasts twice and Texas. FC Kansas City head coach Vlatko Andonovski was happy to get his team some time off and hold some normal training sessions. "For about thirty days we barely got two training sessions in and now we are on a roll, four or five sessions, the girls look good, they look sharp, enthusiastic, ready, fresh, all together it's a good atmosphere," Andonovski explained after practice.

The Blues have not only gotten some training in but some injuries have started to heal. The only player listed as out for tonight is Liz Bogus and it looked like all players in camp trained fully this week. Midfielder Mandy Laddish joined the team a couple weeks ago from finishing up college work and has been integrated into the team now.

"Slowly but surely she is adjusting to the speed and intensity of the practices," Andonovski explained."She is a good smart player so I don't think she is going to have any problem. Another person to have in full training is Amy Lepeilbet and that is very exciting.I don't know if we are going to have her at full capacity, 90 minutes and 100% but we are looking to see her on the field a little bit."

Some more roster help is on the way for the Blues. "Katrina Gorry is coming on the ninth. Sarah (Hagen) was supposed to come right after that but she got invited to the national team which we are very happy about so she will come right after that," Andonovski said.
