With the injuries to starter Eric Kronberg and backup Andy Gruenebaum, Sporting Kansas City's first homegrown player Jon Kempin has been getting his first real time in goal. Two games ago Kempin came in at halftime for Andy G and soon stopped a Vancouver PK. Last week Kempin got the start in Kansas City and  came up big in his save on Brazilian DP Gilberto's breakaway.

Both of those earned him the nomination and the fans spoke, congrats Jon.

It is looking likely that Kempin will start in Saturday's match against DC United, think he will make it three in a row?
