Erik Palmer-Brown, the Sporting KC homegrown defender has been called into the the United States Under-20 Men's National Team training camp in Buenos Aires, Argentina on September 1-10.
The 17 year old is the youngest player on the squad that will be taking on Argentina's U-20 team on September 9th.
Head coach Tab Ramos selected Brown earlier this year for the 2014 Dallas Cup in April where he played a role in 4 victories, but he missed the tournament in August because SKC needed him to combat an unfortunate string of injuries. Brown has made his way through the youth ranks appearing for U-15's, U-17's, and very quickly making his way through the U-18 level.
The Lee's Summit native made his professional debut for Sporting earlier this year becoming the youngest ever MLS player to start a regular season match as a defender. EPB appeared in both 2014 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches for KC and was also named to the 2014 Chiptole MLS Homegrown game.
Camp begins on Sept. 1st but Erik Palmer-Brown will be available tonight as Sporting KC take on the Houston Dynamo at 7pm at Sporting Park.
