Hey... hey guys... its Friday!
I know it is a day late.. but here is a pretty interesting piece on the, then, Wizards describing how they remember 9/11.
Dom is now tied with Preki at 18 goals on the season and Preki would be "happy" to see Dwyer break his record. It is good to see Dom truly respects the history and Preki as a player.
"Records are there to be broken." - Preki
Keep tabs on all your favorite national team guys right here. Julian Green and Brek Shea will debut this weekend with their new teams Hamburg and Birmingham City, respectively.
Matt Besler has really logged a lot of minutes over the last two seasons after becoming a regular for the national team. But you will not hear Besler admit he is tired. Nor will you see him take a break (unlike Clint Dempsey's vacation). Not that it is surprising.. but Peter Vermes seems to show little remorse for all the minutes he has played:
"What about all the guys in Europe that play on their club team, Champions League and then national team games? When you're on Man City, Man United, Arsenal, Inter Milan – when you're on those teams, you think about all the games they're playing because they're in every tournament there is."
Besler has absolutely shown signs of fatigue on the field as of late, but this back line cannot afford to lose him right now (or the hammer he will be carrying on his arm).
Steve Brisendine went on MLS NOW with Andrew Wiebe to discuss What's the Matter with Sporting KC?"
How cute... Chivas USA eager to snap poor run of form while extending Sporting KC's four-game slump. They may be eager, but without Cubo Torres (and even with) Sporting are just going to be too hungry for 3 points in this one. Speaking of Brisendine, he joined Thad and I on the Shades of Blue last night as we preview the match in LA.
FIFA ads never disappoint. This ad for FIFA 15 features Messi and it is fantastic:
