Connor Hallisey is the first new member of Sporting KC as they took him with the 10th pick of the MLS Superdraft.
Hallisey is a left winger out of California University in Berkley who finished his senior year with nine goals and 12 assists, leading the Bears in points. He had a .538 SOG percentage and started all 19 games for the Bears.
With Sporting KC having a rotating cast of left-wingers in 2014, drafting a solid contributor could signal a new starter on that front. However, Peter Vermes has stated that a lot of the MLS Combine prospects were projects rather than immediate starters, so we'll see how he fits into the team and where he will contribute.
Sporting have three more picks left in the draft, two in the first round and one in the second. We'll keep you updated on all future picks as they come in, stay tuned.
