Two new players will join Sporting KC for the preseason as they selected James Rogers and Tony Rocha in the third and fourth rounds of the MLS Superdraft respectively.
Rogers is a forward out of New Mexico. He contributed four goals and five assists his senior season and had 22 goals with 20 assists during his four-year career. He also had a .430 shot on goal percentage for his career.
Rocha is a defender from Tulsa who was a starter all four years as a Hurricane. He had also spent four seasons with the Austin Aztex in the USL PDL league as both a defender and a midfielder, scoring three goals in eight games in 2014.
Both players will likely join Sporting KC for the preseason, which starts next week. They are not officially signed yet and, considering there is no player from the 2014 Sporting KC draft class still on the roster, it remains to be seen how these late round draft picks impact the club.
