It is unknown if Comets head coach Vlatko Andonovski will be on the bench for their game with Tulsa on Saturday. Andonovski was ejected from the match at Milwaukee on New Year's Eve. As with any ejection or red card, Andonovski was suspended for the next match. Assistant coach Goran Koradzov took over as head coach in an 8-5 win over the St. Louis Ambush.

The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) have confirmed that they issued an additional suspension to Andonovski. A total of three matches, the first one having already been served, was handed down by the league.

The Comets are appealing the suspension. They feel that the actual report was unclear and they have been told by the league that the suspension was for leaving the field of play. The Comets have pointed out that the time on the clock had run out and it is within the rules of play to visit the locker room in between the end of regulation and the start of overtime. Any time that was added back on to the clock was without the team's knowledge.

According to MASL Commissioner Kevin Milliken, the appeal is being reviewed by a committee of three owners from the Western Conference. There is no set timeline on when a decision will be made.
