Benny Feilhaber is one of three finalists for Major League Soccer MVP and Tim Melia is a nominee for MLS Comeback Player of the Year, the league announced Tuesday.

Feilhaber will compete with Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco and Columbus Crew's Kei Kamara in a vote in which the results will be announced Dec. 2. Feilhaber was a key part to Sporting Kansas City in 2015, scoring ten goals and assisting on 15, as well as playing a solid defensive midfield in games where he was called to do so.

Tim Melia was signed as the second string keeper and was promoted to starter in May and held the job for the rest of the season. He had a 72.6 percent save percentage, good for third in the league among regular starters, and had 82 saves in 23 league matches played. He was the second string keeper for Chivas USA in 2014 before being released and made his way to Sporting KC as a pool keeper before ascending to the top of the depth chart. He is not up for goalkeeper of the year, however.

The award for Comeback Player of the Year will be announced Nov. 18. Melia is up against Wil Trapp of Columbus Crew and Diego Valeria of Portland Timbers FC.
