Major League Soccer announced the home opener schedules for the 2016 season today. Yes that's right, MLS is just a few short months away.
Sporting Kansas City head to Seattle to open the season and face the Sounders on March 6th at 6pm. The defending Open Cup champs will be without Krisztian Nemeth at CenturyLink Field as he will be serving a single game suspension for this incident against the Portland Timbers in KC's final game last season.
It also looks like the match up will be featured on FS1:
Start the clock for our MLS on FS1 2016 opener! Sun Mar 6, #SEAvSKC (my 3rd straight opener in Seattle). All 20 teams in action, what a day!

SKC return to home the following week to take on the Vancouver Whitecaps in the first game at the newly named Children's Mercy Park on March 12th.
Mark your calendars and let the countdown begin!
