U.S. Men's National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann named a 22 man roster for Wednesday's friendly with Mexico. The roster includes Sporting Kansas City captain Matt Besler.

Since the game is outside of an official FIFA international fixture date, the roster is mostly players from North America-based clubs; thirteen from MLS and five from Liga MX. The last US matches were across the Atlantic and most of the players were from Europe.

"I'm excited to join the national team," Besler said via press release. "It's always an honor to represent my country and games against Mexico definitely carry extra meaning for our team. This will be a good test for us as we continue to prepare to defend our Gold Cup title."

The Overland Park native has made 25 career international appearances for the United States since his first in 2013 and started all four U.S. MNT matches at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Not a surprise but Graham Zusi who is currently injured was not called up for this round.
