SKC look to adjust to life without Ike, RSL are not as fancy as they though, and the Americans are ready to take on Mexico tonight.

9 points puts SKC right where they need to be in the West at this point in the season

Well I was having a pretty good day on Monday until I heard the Ike Opara news.

But this guy is a fighter and there is no reason to think he won't make ANOTHER comeback. Way to make sure he felt the love SKC Nation:

Fall down 7, stand up 8. We're behind you Ike!

So what does it mean for the club? Well it means SKC loses their leading goalscorer (lolwut) and perhaps the Defender of the Year in MLS to this point. It also means Peter Vermes "Will look to bolster backline".

"All options are open," he said. "We're just searching for someone we think will fit and make a good contribution to the team. That's really it."

Who is on your wishlist?

A bit of good news on the other hand, Graham Zusi and Chance Myers have returned to practice. It looks like Myers is still looking at June return, but we should see Zusi in the coming weeks.

After hearing for so long that RSL play so much prettier than SKC, this story on about grinding out results makes me laugh. The first line reads, "Real Salt Lake are getting results, and they don't much care how it looks."

Simon Borg took a look at a bunch of plays from the RSL match in his Instant Replay piece this week. Don't worry, SKC is first so you don't have to endure his yelling the whole time. I agree with him, although Dom went down easily, that defender still clumsily ran into him in the box. I see why it wasn't called, but that should have been a PK for me. Nemeth was fouled too, but he embellished it a little much.

USWNT head coach Jill Ellis has unveiled her 23-player roster for 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. There is plenty of experience on the roster...

On the men's side of things, tonight brings another Dos A Cero! USA vs Mexico at 7:30 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Jurgen's experiment to be put under the microscope. In this match-up , he was forced into experimenting with younger players.

After undergoing sports hernia surgery in February, Jermaine Jones is just now returning to the field with the New England Revolution. Clint Dempsey has been suffering from hamstring problems, and Jozy Altidore's red card against Switzerland rendered him unavailable for Wednesday's match.

Matt Besler is on the roster, but will be back in time for Sporting's match on Saturday against the Galaxy. Tonight will give Besler and Omar Gonzalez another chance to pair up and anchor the American back line.

"I can't explain it, we just work well together," he said. "Besler is a very smart player, good technically, a great defender. We just cover for each other and have good communication on the field. I think that's all you can ask for."

See you guys at Johnny's Tavern tonight?

How do they even do this? This is crazy.
