With the Gold Cup looming in three months, the two big rivals of CONCACAF will be taking a look at some of the players that may be called on this summer. With it being a non-FIFA date, Klinsmann stuck with mostly U.S. and Mexico based players.
Sporting KC's Matt Besler may be in the lineup and it was against Mexico in 2013 where he really showed himself on the international stage, ultimately starting every game at the World Cup.
There has been a bit of controversy over the temporary grass that was laid down at the Alamo Dome. Nobody was happy with the condition of the field earlier this week, especially Mexico but with the match sold out, the show will go on.
Will it end in the now famous "Dos a Cero" score line so many U.S. fan have loved or will Mexico reassert control? Honestly, both teams will be probably be hoping to get out of there alive with ankles and knees intact and large check to fund the next cycle of training.
