CONCACAF announced Thursday that Sporting Park will be one of the hosts for the 2015 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship. There will be two matches on both October 1 and October 3, both of which will feature the United States U-23 team.

Kansas City will see Group A, which will be headed by the United States. The other three teams have not be drawn yet as six teams have yet to qualify for the tournament. Sporting Park will host the first two match days for Group A.

Each team will play the other three teams in their group once with the top two advancing to the semifinals where the winner of Group A will play the runner-up of Group B and the winner of Group B will play the runner-up of Group A. The two teams that make the finals will automatically qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. The winner of the third-place match will play against Columbia for the right to go to the Olympics.

The semifinals and finals will be held at Rio Tinto Stadium. Sporting Park hosted the semifinals and finals in 2012 in which Mexico and Honduras advanced to the Olympics, while the United States failed to get out of the Group Stage.

There is a possibility of Sporting Kansas City representation for these games. Jon Kempin was called into United States January camp in 2015 and is eligible to play for the U-23 team. Rosters aren't expected for the next few months.
