The news broke last Friday but today it is official, Krisztian Nemeth has been called up by Hungary for a pair of games on June 5th and 13th. This will be Nemeth's first call up in over a year but he does have 15 caps for Hungary in the past.

When asked about being called up, Nemeth responded. "Of course I am very happy, after one year I can again play for my home."

Nemeth's five goals are the best for Sporting KC at the moment and he his playing well across the board for Sporting KC. Nemeth knows that his performance here has garnered him another call.

"I have to play well here for them to call me back," Nemeth stated.

The first match for Nemeth and his Hungarian team mates will be a friendly versus Lithuania on June 5th in Debrecen, Hungary. The following match is a UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier versus Finland on June 13th in Helsinki, Finland.

With Sporting Kansas City having a match on June 6th at Sporting Park versus Seattle, Nemeth will miss it but should be back for the Open up match on the 16th.

With so many injuries, Sporting KC manager Peter Vermes had thought about asking to keep Nemeth through the Seattle game but that would have meant Nemeth missed Hungary's friendly with Lithuania.

"We discussed it but I am going for both," Nemeth stated.
