It was a good day for youth soccer in the Kansas City area.
The SKC Academy U15 boys won their Regional Championship for a second straight year and will advance to the National Championships in Tulsa, OK.
Shortly afterwards, the SKC U18 academy team defeat NYRB by a score of 1-0, with Erik Palmer-Brown defending in the shutout win in the Academy playoffs.
On the FCKC side, the FCKC Juniors U15 Pink Panthers Elite won Region 2 Championship will be advancing to the National Championships along with the FCKC Juniors U16 Forte Elite, who also won their regional Championship.
In other FCKC Juniors news, Reighan Childers, who will play at UMKC, was named the Examier's player of the year for girls soccer.
And in addition to wins by the SKC and FCKC affiliates, two more Kansas City metro teams, the U18G Metro Dynamo and U18B Kansas Rush won their respective regional tournaments and also advance to the national championship.
