USMNT vs Guatemala: warm up for the Gold Cup

While the women have got most of the attention lately with their run to the World Cup final against rival Japan, the men are preparing for the Gold Cup.The two matches bookend the most American of holidays with USMNT taking on Guatemala in a tune-up before the USWNT go for their third star Sunday.

Jurgen Klinsmann has his team coming off two successful friendlies in Europe but this is a different squad for the Gold Cup. Sporting Kansas City's Graham Zusi in on the roster.

The United States and Mexico are favorites to get to the final, the two team have won all but one Gold Cup, Mexico with six, the U.S. with five and Canada with one Gold Cup. Wait, Canada? Did the women play that year?

With all the attention on Clint Dempsey and his melt down with the referee recently, Michael Bradley takes over the armband for the time being.

Sporting Kansas City's Matt Besler was not called up but Klinsmann is allowed to make six changes at the end of the group stage and could see a late call.
