Chris Klein will be the sole member of the 2015 class of Sporting Legends and will be inducted Saturday, Sporting Kansas City announced today.

Klein was drafted by the Kansas City Wizards in 1998 and went on to feature in 235 matches from 1998-2005. His combined 97 goals and assists are second all time on the franchise's record list only behind Preki. He won MLS Comeback player of the year in 2005 after a torn ACL shut his season down in 2004.

After the Wizards, he spent two seasons with Real Salt Lake and three with the Los Angeles Galaxy before retiring in 2010. He also spent time as a member of the United States national team at various points between 2000-2006, scoring five goals with 22 caps.

He is currently the President of the Los Angeles Galaxy. Sporting plans to induct him into the Sporting Legends in a ceremony this Saturday at halftime of the Sporting Kansas City and Vancouver Whitecaps match.
