Roger Espinoza suspended for two US Open Cup games

Sporting Kansas City midfielder Roger Espinoza will be suspended for the US Open Cup semifinal against Real Salt Lake and either the 2015 final or Sporting KC's first match in the 2016 US Open Cup.

US Soccer levied Roger Espinoza's second overall suspension in as many days as they suspended him for two games for his punch to Brad Davis.

Gifs of the incident can be seen here.

While Espinoza is likely out for the remainder of the regular season, and surely for the two remaining possible US Open Cup dates, the suspension will still take place starting with next Wednesday's US Open Cup semifinal match against Real Salt Lake. If Sporting Kansas City were to make the US Open Cup final in late September, the second part of the suspension would take place for that match. If Sporting KC fall to Real Salt Lake, the second part of the suspension will take place in Sporting KC's first match in the 2016 tournament.
