Matt Besler has been called up once more for the USMNT as it prepares for the kick off of the Hex against Mexico with a match against New Zealand on Tuesday at RFK Stadium in DC.

Matt Besler named to U.S. Men’s National Team for friendly vs. New Zealand on Tuesday

Besler last USMNT appearance went pretty okay, as he scored a goal, kept a clean sheet, and welcomed the birth of his daughter.

With 36 career caps, and two successful trips to Azteca under his belt, Besler looks to capture a spot on the USA's march towards World Cup qualify as Klinnsman takes the opportunity of another home soil friendly to tinker with his lineup. In addition to Matt Besler, Kellyn Acosta, Juan Agudelo, Terrence Boyd, Bill Hamid, Michael Orozco and Tim Parker have been called to the squad, while nine players were released to their clubs.

The match will kick off at 8:00 EST and be televised on ESPN.
