The Kansas City Comets make their first road trip of the season as they head to Milwaukee to face the Wave tonight. The Comets (2-1) face the Wave (1-3) for the second time this year. The Comets defeated the Wave 11-4 in their first meeting.
The Comets are on a two game winning streak after dropping the season opener. Comets head coach Goran Karadzov spoke about how he team has developed this season. “As a player or a coach you are always hoping for progression. I see progression in practice, in games I see progression.”
“I think that we are getting fitter now. When you are fitter you have more confidence, the ball listens to you more. When the ball listens to you more, the confidence goes up,” Karadzov added.
After the loss the first week, he Comets focused on possession and some finishing in practice and easily beat the Wave. They followed that up with a win over the St. Louis Ambush. “The second week we looked good, the third week we looked good,” Karadzov explained. “Now we want to try and do it consistently. Can we do it? It is hard but I am the guy and they are the players that want perfection. So we are going to try to do that consistently, week in and week out.”
The match is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CT and can be watched on the MASLtv channel or attend the watch party at Coach’s Bar & Grill on 103rd & Wornall.
