Sporting Kansas City have loaned Erik Palmer-Brown to FC Porto until Dec. 31, 2016, the club announced Monday afternoon.
Palmer-Brown, 18, left the team's preseason camp in Tucson, Arizona, to go negotiate a potential deal in Portugal over the weekend and the deal was struck.
FC Porto will have an option to fully buy Palmer-Brown at the end of the loan.
FC Porto is one of the most heralded clubs in Portugal as one of the "Big 3" along with Benefica and Sporting CP. FC Porto currently sit 3rd in the Portugese Liga.
Palmer-Brown was Sporting KC's youngest ever homegrown player and became the youngest Sporting KC player to play in a match when he debuted at 17-years-old in May 2014. He has played in 13 matches in all competitions.
