The Swope Park Rangers defeated Tulsa Roughnecks FC by a final score of 2-1 tonight at ONEOK Field on Saturday night. Two individual moments of brilliance from Dane Kelly and Nansel Selbol gave the Rangers their second win in as many games to start the season, and their existence.

SPR got on the board early when Kevin Oliveira sent in a pass to the top of the box for Dane Kelly, who touched it to his left and fired it home. Kelly emphatically gave the Rangers the lead with a shot that no keeper in the world could handle. Things began to slow down a bit and the match went into halftime with the Rangers leading 1-0.

To open the second half, Swope Park came out firing. Tyrpak almost doubled the lead and then Kelly also had a great chance a few moments later, but they were unable to extend the lead. Then the Roughnecks began to get into dangerous positions and forced Kempin into a couple big saves.

The chances continued for Swope Park as the game drew to a close with Mark Anthony Gonzalez and Daniel Salloi unable to capitalize on chances. But just like last week, things really kicked into gear during stoppage time.

SKC Academy player Nansel Selbol received a throw in from Salloi in the 94' minute by turning and sending a one-touch shot into the back of the net. Selbol did very well to let the ball roll passed him and onto his right foot for the fantastic finish.

But the Rangers again would let in a very, very late goal after scoring late themselves. Taylor Morgan pulled a goal back within a minute of SPR doubling their lead, which made for an exciting last couple moments of the match.

But it was too late for the Roughnecks as the final whistle blew and the Swope Park Rangers continued their perfect start to the season with the 2-1 victory. The Rangers are on the road again next week as they face San Antonio FC next Saturday at Toyota Field.
