Matt Besler and Graham Zusi Selected to US National Team Copa America Centenario Roster

Sporting Kansas City's designated player duo has once again been selected for the US Men's National team. Jurgen Klinsmann has named them to the final roster for the 2016 Copa America Centenario in June as the United States tests themselves against some of the best teams on the planet.

US Soccer announced today the official US Men's National Team final roster for the 2016 Copa America Centenario. Sporting Kansas City Designated Players Matt Besler and Graham Zusi were selected to represent KC and the Red, White and Blue for the prestigious tournament this June. The two of them are due to join the 23-man squad after Saturday's MLS match against Real Salt Lake.

The USMNT will play two friendlies next week in preparation for the Copas.They face off with Ecuador in Frisco, Texas on Wednesday, and then come to KC to face Bolivia at Children's Mercy Park on May 28th. The United States then begins the Copa America Centenario on June 3rd as they take on James Rodriguez and Columbia at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Since making his national team debut in 2013, Matt Besler has made 31 appearances including contributions to the 2013 Gold Cup title and the 2014 World Cup squad that advanced to the Round of 16.

"It's an honor to be selected to the roster for Copa America," Besler said. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I look forward to representing my country in such a historic tournament."

Graham Zusi made his first international appearance in 2012 and has totaled 33 appearances for his country. He has tallied four goals and six assists and was a key player for the 2014 World Cup and 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

"Playing in a Copa America in front of our home fans will be an amazing experience," Zusi said. "I am excited and honored to join the national team for one of the best tournaments in the world."
