Two minutes...

Two minutes, two goals...

FC Kansas City played well throughout most of the game but two minutes in the second half was all it took for the defending champions to go down and remain winless.

"Out of 90 minutes, I felt like we played 80 good minutes," Blues coach Vlatko Andonovski said after the match. "In the first half, we created so many opportunities that we didn't put away. In the second half, there was a period where, I don't know if we lost focus, but we made two mistakes and gave up two goals. Houston has the fire power up front to score goals on mistakes."

The Blues traded opportunities in the first half with Houston, outshooting the visitors 9-4 but neither side could gain the advantage. Midway through second half the Dash gained the momentum and when Chioma Ubogagu lobbed a ball back into the box, Denise O'Sullivan was there to slot it in back post.

Two minutes later Ubogagu got one of her own when Rachel Daly played a through ball to her and Nicole Barnhart could not get make the save.

Yael Averbuch put home a penalty kick late but the Blues were unable to find the equalizer.

FC Kansas City are still winless at now 0-3-1.
