Twice Sporting Kansas City went down to the Montreal Impact, and twice they came roaring back. And, no, that's not a reference to Dom Dwyer's past association to Orlando FC, I'm not that clever. Or am I? No, no I'm not.
At any rate, while it's certainly not PANIC BUTTON time, a road draw following a home win, especially a come from behind, multi-goal draw, should calm some of the head wind and help right the ship. After having taken just 5 points from 10 games, Sporting now have 5 from their last three, two of which were away from home.
Anyway, after staying up to get my heart curb stomped by the one-two combo of watching Game of Thrones and then making the mistake of watching the DVR'ed second half, bonus soccer, and penalties of the Copa America final, I'm too strung out to offer much more, so let's go straight to the numbers (I've thought about switching to A-F? Too middle school?)
Here. We. Go.
|Sporting Kansas City|
Sporting perhaps with a slight numerical edge there. A lot of "what ifs" on the table regarding penalties called or not called, but at the end of the day I'll say I feel okay. Zusi and Besler are back with the team. The worst seems behind us. There's some catching up to be done, for sure, but, for now, have courage. Liquid or otherwise.
