Alec Kann loaned to Swope Park Rangers

Sporting KC second-string keeper Alec Kann will play for the Swope Park Rangers tonight.

Alec Kann has been loaned to the Swope Park Rangers, Sporting Kansas City announced on Wednesday.

The Rangers host Rio Grande FC tonight at Swope Park at 7:30 and, by the wording of the press release, it looks like Kann will only be loaned to the Rangers for tonight.

Sporting KC was looking to loan out some players to the Rangers so that they could get some playing time before Sporting's first US Open Cup match, which takes place next week against Minnesota United FC.

Kann has made one appearance for Sporting KC this year, a start against the Vancouver Whitecaps back in May. He is the likely starter against Minnesota United FC considering Sporting KC's tendencies to play their reserve keeper in early US Open Cup matches.
