Sporting Kansas City have loaned defenders Kevin Ellis and Ever Alvarado to Swope Park Rangers in advance of their match with Oklahoma City tonight. Both Ellis and Alvarado will be available and will play.

Alvarado was recently signed and received all the paperwork to complete the move and make him eligible to play late last week. Ellis has fought through a couple injuries this season and has not seen the field regularly.

"I've got to start building their fitness for 90 minutes and there is not a better place to do it so they will be playing," Sporting KC manager Peter Vermes stated.

"We are going to use that more and more as we move along here," Vermes continued. "We are in the place where we can do that more now. I had to give them (Swope Park) their space to create a foundation and we had to have time to see what we had and what we were facing. We are moving to a lot of game in July and August and for the rest of season and with the heat and the climate and the travel, all those things coming together at once. We have to remember we have a lot of guys coming off of injury, we've got to get them some minutes."

Swope Park Rangers head coach Marc Dos Santos has been able to start the same back four the last few matches but that will change with this loan.

"You know we're getting a guy like Ever Alvarado that's going to play, Kevin Ellis is going to play, so it changes the dynamic of the team a little because they train only once with us and they are straight into the game. But they're players with a lot of quality and a lot of experience so we think that overall these guys are going to bring a plus to the team and can help us win," Dos Santos explained.

Ellis and Alvaredo join Sporting KC players Amadou Dia and Jon Kempin already on loan to Swope Park.
