HAO as she in known to fans is expected to return to FC Kansas City after the FA WSL season concludes in early June. A source that will remain nameless confirmed that this is the plan.
With the NWSL season likely starting in April, O’Reilly would miss around two months of games for the Blues.
O’Reilly retired last year from international play with 231 caps and 47 goals for the U.S. over 15 years. With three Olympic gold medals and a World Cup on her resume, she has been one of the most successful U.S. players.
FC Kansas City brought O’Reilly in for the 2015 season. A move FC Kansas City head coach Vlatko Andonovski said was needed to win their second straight NWSL championship.
