Erika Tymrak has won her third league title in her professional career. It was her first not with FC Kansas City in the NWSL. The talented midfielder went on loan to Melbourne City in the offseason and was a big part of helping them qualify for the W-League playoffs.

Melbourne City became the first club to win consecutive W-League titles after beating Perth Glory 2-0 in the grand final over the weekend.
A number of players go on loan to the W-League and Melbourne City’s player-coach is no exception. Seattle Reign star Jess Fishlock led Melbourne City on and off the field to their second straight title.
Fishlock scored the first goal when Beverly Yanez and Tymrak quickly combined in the box to freeze the defense before Yanez slipped the ball across the goal for Fishlock to slide home in first-half stoppage time.

Yanez added a goal in the 72nd minute to put the game away with the help of poor play by Perth keeper Gabrielle Dal Busco.

Tymrak scored in the last regular season match for Melbourne City to help them snag the last playoff spot when they beat the Newcastle Jets. Tymrak’s goal in the 56th minute was the game winner and came at the expense of former FC Kansas City keeper Katelyn Rowland.
