The Swope Park Rangers announced on Wednesday that they have signed Sporting Kansas City SuperDraft selection David Greczek.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We’re very excited to bring David into the team,” Swope Park Rangers head coach Nikola Popovic said in the press release. “David is the type of goalkeeper that we look for in our system, and we think he can be a very important player in this role.”
Greczek, a goalkeeper out of Rutgers, has been training with the Rangers all preseason and will join them as their only keeper under contract right now, although it is highly likely that Adrian Zendejas will get loaned to the Rangers. Greczek will likely be the second-string keeper for the Rangers.
This brings SPR’s total roster up to 15 players as their season opens up on Mar. 25.
