Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: Rough Weekend for KC

Some stats and milestones from all three Kansas City pro teams.

It wasn’t a great weekend for Kansas City’s three professional soccer teams, as they went 0-3 on the weekend with all three teams on the road. While Sporting Kansas City and FC Kansas City were on the wrong side of 1-0 losses, the Swope Park Rangers were able to find the back of the net. Unfortunately it was after Phoenix Rising had scored four unanswered. A late fight back could only see the Rangers cut the lead to 4-3. Here are some stats from this past weekend.

Sporting KC

In the 90th minute, Matt Besler moved past Davy Arnaud and into 3rd place for minutes played in all competitions for KC, Besler finished the game with 21,608 minutes played.

Benny Feilhaber made his 150th appearance in all competitions for KC, he's the 19th player to hit that mark.

Feilhaber tied Chris Brown for 18th in appearances in all competitions with that 150th appearance.

Feilhaber made his 125th league appearance for KC, tying him with Tony Meola for 18th on that list.

Feilhaber started his 139th game in all competitions for KC, tying him with Chance Myers for 18th on that list.

He started his 115th league game, breaking his tie with Myers for 18th on that list.

Graham Zusi made his 201st league appearance for KC, breaking his tie with Chris Klein for 7th on that list.

In the 11th minute, Roger Espinoza moved past Jack Jewsbury and into 9th place for minutes played in all competitions, he finished the game with 15,053 minutes played.

Espinoza became the 9th player in team history to play 15,000 minutes in all competitions.

Dom Dwyer made his 148th appearance in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Diego Gutierrez for 20th on that list.

Swope Park Rangers

At 22 years, 176 days, David Greczek is the 18th youngest player to start a league game and in all competitions for Swope Park.

Kevin Oliveira's two goals gives him five for Swope in league play and in all competitions, tying him with Tyler Pasher and Daniel Salloi for 4th place on both those lists.

Christian Duke's goal was his third in league play and in all competitions, tying him with Ayrton for 7th all time on both lists.

At 25 years, 322 days, Duke is the oldest goal scorer in Rangers history.

In the 68th minute, Tyler Pasher passed Tommy Meyer and moved into 4th place for minutes played in all competitions, finishing the game with 2,375 minutes played.

Pasher made his 31st appearance in all competitions, tying him with Ualefi for 5th place on that list.

Pasher started his 24th league game, tying him with Meyer for 3rd place on that list.

In the 44th minute, Mark Anthony Gonzalez moved past Oumar Ballo and into 7th place for minutes played in all competitions, he finished the game with 1,872 minutes played.

Gonzalez made his 29th league appearance, breaking his tie with Kris Tyrpak for 4th place on that list.

Amer Didic made his 30th league appearance for Swope, tying him with Ualefi for 2nd on that list.

FC Kansas City

In the 66th minute, Erika Tymrak moved past Leigh Ann Brown and into 4th place for league minutes played for the Blues, she finished the game with 5,737 minutes played.

In the 47th minute, Yael Averbuch moved past Merritt Mathias and into 7th place for league minutes played for the Blues. She finished the game with 3,218 minutes played.

In the 24th minute, Averbuch moved past Desiree Scott and into 8th place for minutes played in all competitions, she finished the game wtih 3,247 minutes played.

Averbuch started her 35th game in league play for FCKC, tying her with Mathias for 7th all time on that list.

It was her 35th in all competitions too, tying her with Scott for 9th all time on that list.

Shea Groom made her 34th league appearance, tying her with Scott and Amy Rodriguez for 11th all time on that list.
