Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: Besler Hits Milestone

Some stats and milestones from the weekend’s soccer action.

Kansas City soccer teams had a winless weekend going 0-1-2, picking up a pair of draws, one at home for FC Kansas City and one of the road for Sporting Kansas City. The Swope Park Rangers fell 1-0 to Rio Grande Valley. Here are some stats and milestones from those three games.

Sporting Kansas City

Matt Besler made his 250th appearance in all competitions for Sporting KC, he's the 5th player to hit that mark.

At 20 years, 134 days, Latif Blessing became the 12th youngest player to start a game for Sporting KC. He's the 15th youngest in all competitions to start a game.

Blessing is also the fourth youngest player to score a goal in league play for Sporting. He's the sixth youngest to score a goal in all competitions for Sporting.

Graham Zusi made his 205th league appearance for KC, breaking his tie with Jimmy Conrad for 6th all time on that list.

Seth Sinovic made his 144th league appearance for KC, tying him with Matt McKeon and Josh Wolff for 14th on that list.

Benny Feilhaber made his 129th league appearance for KC, breaking his tie with Jimmy Nielsen for 17th all time on that list.

Feilhaber started his 143rd game in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Nielsen and moving him into a tie with Michael Harrington for 16th on that list.

Kaka's goal was the 900th league goal allowed by KC, and the 500th allowed away from home.

Swope Park Rangers

At 24 years, 316 days, Liam Doyle became the 16th oldest player to appear in and start a game for Swope Park.

In the 85th minute, Mark Anthony Gonzalez moved past Kris Tyrpak and into 6th place for league minutes played, he finished the game with 1,762 minutes played.

Gonzalez and Tyler Pasher both made their 30th league appearances, tying them with Ualefi for 3rd all time on that list.

Pasher made his 31st start in all competitions for SPR, tying him with Ualefi for 2nd all time on that list.

In the 5th minute, Nansel Selbol moved past Ayrton and into 14th place for league minutes played, he finished the game with 985 minutes played.

In the 52nd minute, Selbol moved past Jon Kempin and into 16th place for minutes played in all competitions, he finished the game with 1,097 minutes played.
