UPDATE @ 10:18 - Eddie Robinson from Houston is reporting that the teams have agreed on a date to play the game. The official word form Sporting KC is they are still waiting for the official decision.

Sports Radio 610 out of Houston is also confirming the cancellation.

Original Story Below:

Sporting Kansas City is scheduled to play the Houston Dynamo Saturday night at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston. One little problem.

A hurricane.

Hurricane Harvey to be precise.

Harvey should make landfall sometime Friday and generally be a nuisance for the rest of the weekend, a potentially deadly nuisance.

If Sporting KC travels to Houston, Friday would normally be the travel day for a Saturday game.

A spokesperson for Sporting KC has confirmed that SKC, the Dynamo and MLS are all keeping track of the changing weather conditions and will make a determination if it is safe to travel and play.

It is looking less likely all the time but weather can change a lot in 24 hours so there is sill the potential for the game to take place.
