The Swope Park Rangers have found a new home at Shawnee Mission South District Stadium for the 2018 season, the club announced Thursday.

Shawnee Mission South District Stadium is located at 5800 W. 107th Street just east of Lamar Avenue, less than a mile from the Nall Avenue exit along Interstate-435. The new facility recently underwent an extensive renovation project costing $6 million in upgrades and is expected to give fans an unique experience by offering a variety of new amenities including: multiple concession services, restrooms and extensive parking on both the east and west sides of the venue. Additionally, there will be a stadium press box, Daktronics LED video board, state-of-the-art speaker system, hospitality suite and two locker rooms.

This news comes on the heels of speculation of where the Sporting Kansas City’s ‘B’ team would play this upcoming season and received mixed fan reactions due to it's location and the school district's tailgating policies.

The Rangers will host their home opener at the newly renovated, 7,500 seat stadium facing the Seattle Sounders FC 2 on March 24th.
